Listening to GOD
There was a time in my life when GOD only heard from me when there was an issue, a level of discomfort, or when I had tried everything I knew to do and He was my last hope. What I have learned is that although GOD loves us, we cannot use Him (especially because we all know what it is like to be used). All of us can think of the friend who never calls when things are going well or to share good news. Instead, she drains the life out of you in conversation. She needs something (encouragement, agreement, or even money). That doesn't mean that need is weak, but if when one person always withdraws from you without making deposits, the relationship can feel one-sided.
Earlier this year, I began to spend time with GOD daily: praying, talking, thanking and LISTENING. Yes, listening.
Now the best part of prayer time is hearing what GOD has to say. To be honest, sometimes I'm not ready to hear what GOD has to say, but I am grateful that He gives me direction concerning my emotions, circumstances, my relationships and my business. I believe He wants to talk to you too, but you need to make time. Five minutes of your prayer time each day should be spent listening. Allow GOD the space to answer and comfort you. Allow GOD the time to tell you what your next business strategy is.
If everything in your life is louder than GOD, it's time to turn it down. Join me and 100 women like you on Sunday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. for the Very 1st Strategic Prayer Party. I need your help getting 100 women to take their lives to the next level in prayer. Register here. LET'S CHANGE THE WORLD!
